The Potty

2 Mar

Todd potty trained Cole.  Why?  I was knocked up and flat on my back with Owen.  So I don’t remember much.

But I can guarantee that any potty training is better than trying to potty train a child with epilepsy.  He is old enough.  It is time.  But he shakes a lot.  The seizures are not under control.  And he has a lot of irritability issues…I can’t even discuss…as we are upping his meds all the time.

So picture us, if you will, and know why the blog is quiet.

Otherwise things are going fine around here.  Someday the bum will be less of an issue, but right now it is all encompassing.

I totally get this- for different reasons, of course. Noah’s unpredictable blood sugars at night pretty much mean the kid will sleep with a pull up for a very long time. We just need to do the best we can and push forward. Sending lots of happy thoughts your way!!

Isaac has learned to pee on demand–his own demand–as in whenever his diaper is off. It’s hilarious. We’ve tried to get him to go in the potty but where’s the fun in that?

Good luck with the Owey. I can’t imagine how difficult potty training is going to be.
